Diya is a private home-control app. It connects your phone or computer to your own Home Assistant and lets you control your home. Our privacy policy is short because Diya collects nothing.
Diya has no user accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
The only information Diya stores is the Home Assistant address and access token you enter yourself. These are kept solely on your device — in the secure system keychain on iOS/Android, or your browser's local storage on the web. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.
When you control a device, the command travels directly from your device to your own Home Assistant server over an encrypted connection. Nothing passes through us.
Diya does not collect your location, contacts, photos, usage analytics, or any personal data. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics. (Any future presence feature keeps all location processing on your own device and your own server — never sent to us.)
If you view a camera, the feed streams directly between your device and your own Home Assistant. We never see or store it.
Because nothing is collected or stored off your device, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove your connection details, sign out in the app or uninstall it.
Diya is a home-control utility for a household and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
